Tween Day Camp Explore! July 15-19, Ages 9-13

Hey young explorers! Want to turn your summer in San Miguel into an amazing adventure? Join us for a week of daily expeditions to some of central Mexico's most exciting spots! Each morning we'll head out for a new discovery, and each evening you'll return home full of stories to share. Plus, we'll wrap it all up with an optional overnight camping adventure that'll give you a taste of the great outdoors!Overview Perfect for families vacationing or living in San Miguel de Allende, this five-day adventure camp takes kids ages 9-12 on daily journeys to fascinating destinations around central Mexico. From climbing one of the world's largest monoliths to exploring ancient silver mines, from boating on scenic lakes to camping under the stars, each day brings new experiences and opportunities for growth, friendship, and fun!

San Miguel de Allende - San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico

Day 1:  - Peña de Bernal Adventure

Morning pickup in San Miguel

Drive to the magnificent Peña de Bernal

Guided hike of the world's third-largest monolith

Sample famous local gorditas and artisanal cheeses

Return to San Miguel by afternoon

Day 2: - Guanajuato City Exploration

Morning pickup in San MiguelDrive to the colorful city of Guanajuato

Boat ride on the scenic Presa de la Olla

Explore the historic city center

Visit underground tunnels and colorful alleyways

Return to San Miguel by afternoon

Day 3:  - Mineral de Pozos Discovery

Morning pickup in San Miguel

Explore the fascinating ghost town of Mineral de Pozos

Learn about silver mining history

Visit ruins of the city's golden age

Experience a pre-Hispanic instrument workshop

Create music with traditional instruments

Return to San Miguel by afternoon

Day 4:  - La Joyita Camping Adventure

Morning pickup in San Miguel

Drive to La Joyita Campground

Hike to the river for swimming and exploration

Set up camp and learn camping basics

Evening campfire and stargazing

Overnight camping (optional - parents welcome!)

Day 5:  - Camping Wrap-up

Morning nature activities and hike

Pack up camp

Return to San Miguel by lunchtime

Note: Daily schedules may be adjusted based on weather conditions and other factors. Safety is our top priority!

9:00 AM at City Market

 

Daily return: 4:00 PM at City Market (Except for overnight camping adventure)
