2. Japan Summer Adventure – July 2–16, 2026, Ages 13-18
Participants will explore Shinjuku’s vibrant nightlife and stay in a capsule hotel. They will take a day trip to Kamakura, seeing the Great Buddha, visiting temples, hiking, and enjoying a beach picnic. The group will climb Mount Fuji over two days, staying overnight in a mountain hut and reaching the summit at sunrise, followed by relaxation in a Japanese onsen hot spring.The trip includes a visit to Hiroshima and the Peace Memorial Park. On Miyajima Island, they will see the famous floating Torii gate, visit temples, hike, shop, and have the option to try sea kayaking. Teens will also experience either Rabbit Island, known for its hundreds of friendly rabbits, or Hattori Field, where they can enjoy farm and adventure experiences. The adventure concludes in Osaka with its food markets, anime and electronics district, shrines, and Dotonbori nightlife.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure for teens ready to explore one of the most fascinating countries in the world. Together we’ll climb Mount Fuji, experience the energy of Tokyo, discover the culture and history of Hiroshima, explore Miyajima Island’s famous floating Torii gate, and immerse ourselves in the sights, sounds, and flavors of Osaka.In Teen Connect style, this trip will be phone-free... Teens will be fully present, connecting with themselves, each other, and the incredible world around them. With caring leaders, meaningful group time, and hands-on adventure, this journey is designed to be unforgettable.

3. Make your payment. (Or set up a payment plan). Your application and registration is not finished until you have completed all 3 steps. You may complete them in any order you wish. If you pay first and for some reason on our call we decide its not a good fit, you will be refunded everything but the processing fees. We are excited to have you join us!
Day 1–2 (July 2–3): Travel day and arrival in Narita, Japan, with an evening in Narita.
Day 3: Transfer to Tokyo. Explore Shinjuku, Kabukicho, and Omoide Yokocho.
Day 4: Kamakura day trip with the Great Buddha, a hike, and a beach picnic.
Day 5: Begin the Mount Fuji climb via the Yoshida Trail and overnight in a mountain hut.
Day 6: Summit Mount Fuji at sunrise, descend, and relax in an onsen.
Day 7: Take the bullet train to Hiroshima, visit temples, and enjoy a group dinner at Okonomimura.
Day 8: Explore Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and the city.
Day 9: Miyajima Island with the Torii gate, shrines, hiking, shopping, and optional sea kayaking.
Day 10: Option of visiting Rabbit Island or Hattori Field for a farm and volunteer experience.
Day 11–12: Osaka with food markets, Den Den Town, Shinsekai, Tennoji Park, and Dotonbori.
Day 13: Reflection, group celebration, and final explorations.
Day 14 (July 16): Departure from Kansai International Airport.
The itinerary is subject to change due to weather, local conditions, or group needs.
Teens will meet the group upon arrival at Narita International Airport (NRT) on July 2, 2026. Families are responsible for booking their child’s flight to Japan. Leaders will be present at the airport to welcome participants as they clear immigration and customs. Specific arrival windows and meeting instructions will be shared in advance to ensure a smooth check-in process.
The program concludes in Osaka, with departure from Kansai International Airport (KIX) on July 16, 2026. Families are responsible for booking return flights. Leaders will assist teens with airport check-in and accompany them to the departure gates before the group disperses.

Everything should be packed in a bag that the teen can comfortably carry all by themselves up and down a flight of stairsand around a city block without assistance.
This 14-day program includes accommodations in hotels, a capsule hotel, a youth hostel, and an overnight mountain hut on Mount Fuji. The majority of meals are covered, including daily breakfast, dinner and breakfast on Mount Fuji, a beach picnic in Kamakura, and a farm or volunteer day meal. Local and regional transportation is included, such as trains, charter buses, ferries, and a river cruise. The guided Mount Fuji climb with professional support is included, as well as the activities and excursions outlined in the itinerary. Leadership and supervision are provided by adult staff members for a group of 14 to 20 teens with a ratio of 1 adult for every 6 teens.
Airfare to and from Japan is not included. Some lunches and dinners will not be provided, as small groups will eat in different restaurants to experience authentic Japanese dining. Optional activities, such as kayaking, bicycle rentals, and tower entrance fees, are not included. Souvenirs and personal expenses are also excluded.
Booking your tickets July 2 will have you arriving in Narita on July 3, leaders will be present to welcome teens as they clear immigration and customs. Families should ensure their teen has the necessary travel documents, immigration QR code, and a copy of their travel insurance. Leaders will coordinate transfers to the hotel in Narita for the first night.
The trip is designed to be phone-free, with teens unplugging to fully immerse themselves in the experience. All communication needs will be facilitated by staff leaders. The program includes a variety of cultural, historical, and adventure experiences, from Tokyo nightlife to the historic Peace Park in Hiroshima, from summiting Mount Fuji at sunrise to exploring Osaka’s vibrant food scene. The itinerary is subject to change due to weather, local conditions, or group needs.

A deposit is required to secure a spot in the program. Cancellations made before April 1, 2026, will be refunded minus the deposit. Cancellations made after April 1 are non-refundable. If the program is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances such as travel restrictions, families will receive a full refund of payments made, minus any non-recoverable expenses.
